Background & Storyline: The descendent of Mongolian royalty, has a natural talent for learning kung fu. Subsequently, he was betrayed by his wife Bing Wan (Sonija Kwok), which resulted in him losing all his kung fu as Pong Ban (Derek Kwok) used him to gain more power. Pong Ban had intentions to kill him, but luckily he was rescued by Hong Pak (Bosco Wong), and the two became friends.

Later, Fung met Chuen Mung Yiu (Charmaine Sheh). Yiu found out that he was betrayed by her sister (not real sister, but in kung fu sense) so she wanted to help. She assisted him to find his master Lai Yuk Hoi, so he could regain 90% of his power. Fung and Yiu had been in a few life and death situations, so their feelings for each other grew.

By chance, Fung found Bing Wan, but her sword pierced through him. He found out that there were some “real energy” left in his body (left by Pong Ban), which will allow him to see the truth, the truth that he is the descendent of Mongolian royalty. With Pong Ban’s guidance, his heartbreak turned into hatred. He is determined to reclaim his place as King.

Fung devised plans to link Hong Pak with Chu Yuen Jeung, causing chaos within the kung fu community and also within the Ming dynasty. He also won Mung Yiu’s heart, which allowed him to use her “Kim Sum Tung Ming” (a type of kung fu which uses the sword to understand people’s feelings etc) to discover the secrets of the Fok Yu sword, meaning he has now gained new power and skills. He is also willing to lose everything by fighting against Hong Pak – to win back his throne and resurrect the Yuan Dynasty.
