Other actors move over, Fung will become TV king in 2008
In 2007 HOG caused TV watching fever, Fung, who plays handsome lawyer Alfred in the series also won many fans. This lead to his award at the TVB anniversary (Most popular male artist in Mainland China) and his album also reached gold once it was released.

Stepping into 2008, Fung’s career will reach new heights, his leading series “The Master of Tai Chi” is airing, and filming for HOG2 has also begun. This time even Moses has to make way and gave away his lead role to Fung, looks like Fung has a chance to win Best Actor this year!


Huge crowd to see Fung
Most of HOG2’s outdoor filming is done at the North Point markets. The crew had been busy filming scenes in and out of the bakery shop.

Last Thursday (21/2), Fung were filming some outdoors scenes with Moses, LSK etc and attracted a crowd of over 100 people. The crowd refused to leave so filming had to stop several times. But Fung was in a good mood so he was willing to be photographed and had no problems with it. This is because many people complimented him and said he’s tall and handsome, so why wouldn’t he be in a good mood?

After filming for 3 hours, Fung didn’t have any scenes to film so he took some female colleagues to eat dessert nearby. Even though they ate for over half an hour, many die-hard fans were waiting outside. If people didn’t know they might think that Edison Chen was inside!

After eating dessert, Fung went outside to a stationery shop to buy a pen, and then met up with HOG2’s girlfriend Linda Chung to have their hair done. But after they finished doing their hair, the director called it a day. Fung had to go to a fashion show and the EEG new year’s dinner, definitely a busy day.

Fung hopes he can be TV King
Afterwards we asked Fung a few things, about the 2008 Best Actor award, Fung really hopes he can win it, but the most important is his acting skills.

Q: What are your goals this year?
“Hopefully release another album and more good songs.”

Q: In HOG2 you are the lead actor, clearly TVB is giving you a chance to move up, are you confident that you will win Best actor?
“Don’t say that, TVB is just giving me more chances this year. But this time being the good person has a lot of pressure, because the role doesn’t have many distinct characteristics or any deficiencies. It’s difficult to portray it well. Every year I would like to win Best Actor, but winning awards is not the first consideration, being able to portray the character well is more important.”

Q: What do you think the ratings will be for “The Master of Tai Chi”?
“Hopefully this genre will bring surprises to the audience! I don’t want to say how much ratings it will get!”
